IE 6 running verrrry slow-others are not

Just in the last couple of days, IE6 is loading and
running very slow. Netscape and Opera are zipping along
as usual but IE6 takes forever to locate and then load
pages. Any ideas what needs to be done. I am running XP
pro. I have rebooted. I have reinstalled IE6. I have reset
all security to default levels. I am running out of
ideas. Antivirus software has found nothing and Firewall
is active. Help me!

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
