IE 6 offline after useing WMP?

When ever I use WMP for a prolonged period of time, IE 6
will go offline. It does not matter if IE 6 is open or
not, it will go offline. In the regedit, global user will
still be set at 0, and mozilla will connect just fine. Any
idead what may cause this??

I think that you are misinterpreting what that prompt means.
IE is not offline. It just can't see your link.

Make some periodic checks of your link to see if you have
a DHCP lease which could be expiring and be attributed to the cause.

If your OS is NTx use
ipconfig /all
to display that information.
