Embedded Midis and Midi Links Freeze PC

If I go to website with an embedded midi, cpu usage for IE 6 will be at 97%.
Although I will exit IE, Windows Media Player running. The only method that
I can use to shut down WMP is in Task Manager Processes.

Also, if I click on a midi link in IE6, Windows Media Player will open, the
file will not play and WMP is running at 97% cpu usage. Again, the only way
to shut down WMP is in processes in Task Manager.

What must I do to correct this problem?

This problem will not occur when I am using Firefox browser.

Thanks for you assistance.
