Somehow my browser was hijacked by something from slotch.com and kept loading it's page.
I used a removal tool to get rid of it but now when I try to save my home page in
Tools>Internet Options>Home Page everything is grayed out!
Any ideas what I can do to get IE 6 back to the way it's suppose to be? I have WinXP Pro
w/SP2

Have you used Spybot's Immunize feature?

I just ran SystemSuite Anti-Virus, Ad-Aware 6.0, Spyware-Adware Remover and Registry
Cleaner and that one area (Tools > Internet Options > General > Home page) is still
grayed out so that I can't Save the current page as my home page. Everything else in
"Tools > Internet Options" appears to be fine at this time.

An alternative might be to re-install IE 6, BUT I can't find an IE 6 download anywhere.
If I try to update the SP 2 option from Microsoft it tells me I already have the latest
version. So it appears there's no way to re-install IE 6 w/SP 2 by itself or
stand-alone.

Hi,
If you use Spybot S&D, open Spybot in Advanced mode and check the Immunize
settings. You may have placed this restriction inadvertently.

If not ... go to Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Scroll down to
"Various Registry Fixes"
