Home page option is grayed out, I can't set a home page

Everytime I open IE, I get a blank page. I want to set a home page, but the option to set it is "grayed out." As of now, my home page is "about:blank." Is there another way to set the home page of my choice?

Go to http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Scroll down to "Various Registry Fixes."

Or... If you have Spybot S&D installed, open it in Advanced mode and check
the Immunize settings. You may have inadvertently set this restriction.

I believe SpywareBlaster can also cause this.

Be sure to search for and remove the malware which (probably) caused this:

Click start, run, type regedit, click ok,uncolapse
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/software/policies/microsoft/Internet
Explorer/Control Panel
right click homepage on the right window/modify/change
value to zero/ok
let me know if you succeeded.
