ICS Excruciatingly Slow!!!

Hi,

I have an ADSL home connection and am attempting to use
W2K Pro (SP3) Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). It kinda
sorta works but the problem is that it is extremely slow
on the machines that try to go through my W2K machine
(this happens on all machines, whether XP or 2K).
Sometimes the pages time-out completely it's so slow. Is
this normal behavior or is there something else that can
be done to increase performance? Thanks.

Hi Steve. I would dump ICS and get one of those $39 cable/dsl routers at
Best Buy, etc. ICS had it's day before those devices were around. You will
save more in electricity than the cost of the router in a year by not having
to deal with the ICS computer being on all the time. --- Steve
