W2K NAT problem

H

Hal Pratt

I have W2K server with ICS NAT sharing internet connections with 3
machines;
one with W98, another with XP and another with W2K professional workstation.
All client machines use TCP/IP protocol with static settings. Internet
connection is thru D-link 604 router, set with DCHP
System works fine when W2K workstation is off. When W2k machine is online,
it interrupts the internet connection with all machines.

Any ideas on work arounds?

Exactly what happens when the W2K Pro box is online? Is it running ICS by
chance?

Thanks,

ICS is NOT activated on the W2k box.
When it's started -- or its network connection is enabled -- the NAT's
server loses its internet connection from a DNS error. This, in turn, causes
all machines on the NAT to lose their connections.
