TCP/IP settings on w2k

Hi,
I have a 2 pc's networked with crossover cable. PC1 has w2k pro, fixed IP
address, adsl. PC2 has W98SE and internet connection via ICS (activated on
PC1). Network is rather slow, so I would trie to tune advanced settings for
TCP/IP on PC1 (w2k), especially DNS and WINS tab. Can anyone tell me how
these settings should be? For instance should I enable or disable netbios
over TCP/IP?
Thanks.

Open Network&DialupConnections, menu Advanced/AdvancedSettings, and move
your internal Connection to the very top of the list.
Internal Connection, DNS and WINS should have an IP address as 192.168.0.1
w/o def.gateway, and external Connection and W98 are rather DHCP-configured.
If you disable NetBIOS on your network, W98 and W2k won't communicate at
all, so disable it on external Connection only.
