ICS Client unable to connect to internet

I know lots of folks have seen this problem.. but I am
stumped. Both my host and client machine are running XP
so they both have had the appropriate network wizard run
on them.. I can share files/printers without a problem.
I can even see and disconnect the shared internet
connection from the client. I cannot however connect it
or us any of my browsers to trigger it to come on or
connect thru it (if it is already established by the
host).. they essentially time out. I have the browsers
set up to use the lan connection without any static IP
addressing on. The host likewise is using DHCP and
acquire the DNS info automatically. I have the dial up
connection on the host shared and firewalled, it is the
default connection and is set to dial everytime with the
password saved. I have seen the below error in the
system log on the HOST and no errors on the client.
Nothing appears in the NWSlog (I think that's how it is
spelled). Not sure if the below is the culprit or not
given that everything else works... but I do not know how
to get rid of it. I am really stuck.. and I can't help
but think I am just one step away given that everything
else appears fine - particularly since I can even see the
shared connection and disconnect it. Please help me out
here.

Thanx
Roy

Thanx Steve...it almost worked completely!!!! As you had
thought my router was still set up with DHCP turned on...
by disabling it I was able to use the shared internet
connection from the client!!!!! However, I was not able
to successfully do on-demand dialing and have it work...I
was able to verify that the client did in fact trigger
the server to dial out (on the correct number/connection)
but the connection never stuck.. I was unable to
ascertain why it failed... if i click on internet
explorer from the host - it automatically dials (no
prompts, etc...) and connects.. and this connection is
shared such that the clients have full control and demand
dialing turned on... Does anyone know of any other
settings that I may be missing that is not allowing the
client to trigger the connection setup. I Have seen
reference to a problem were the username/password are not
saved by the host so that others cannot connect.. not
sure if this is that symptom or not.. and I cannot verify
if the client have access to the username/password.. I
know that if I manually do the connection from the host
the save password box is checked... and as stated above
if If i just click explorer it forges ahead - requesting
no additional info... any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanx
Roy
