Right click your desktop and select Arrange Icons By >> Make sure show
Desktop Icons is checked.
Then select from the same List properties to bring up the Display window
Properties, click Desktop Tab then click Customize Desktop button.
Click Web Tab and make sure nothing checked there.
Then click in appearance tab and click Effects Button
[ ] Use the following transition effect for menus and tooltips:
[ Fade effect ][v]
[ ] Use the following method....
[ Standard ][v]
[ ] Show shadows under menus
[ ] Show window contents while dragging
[ ] Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until....
Click [OK] and [OK] again to close the Display properties. and Hit F5 to
refresh.
