I want to save word doc to external disk How do I do this please

I have a saved document in Word and was wondering if I could also save to
disk. I have XP, I am not very good with computers so please keep it simple
if there is a way and thank you so much if you can help me. I am really
wanting to back up docs in Word for that just in case time!!!! Cheryl

DON'T save directly to any external disk. Save to your hard drive first,
then use Copy or Send to send the HD file to the external drive.
