My daughter split my computer in half so one side is her's and one side is
mine with password protected.Because she does not know how and or is to lazy
to remove cookies, temp files and so on,she has now put my computer in a
dangerous situation with a very large number of trojans, viruses, and all sorts
of tracking cookies.I have tried to delete her side with her removing the
password, logging right off,i go to the control panel, click on users, click on
her name and click delete acount, then delete files, but when i click on delete
acount again for the last step the computer freezes up and says ( NOT
RESPONDING ).I am desperate to get rid of the other side as she lets in all
sorts of problems and then when i get on to use my side i spend all night
trying to find and delete all the viruses she has let come in.Any help would
be so much appreciated thank you very much.Cheers from down under.

As it is I only see two or three solutions to your problem.

Solution 1:

Make her a Limited User. She will probably cry and wail as she won't be
able to do many things but tough bananas!

Solution 2:

Buy a second hard drive and install a Windows copy for her on that
drive. Use a third party boot manager that can automatically hide
drives when booting to the different operating systems, that way she
won't have access to your drive and installation when she boots her
operating system and vice-versa. When her side is completely screwed up
format her drive and have her reinstall her operating system, more tough
bananas if she doesn't like setting up Windows from scratch every two
months, she will quickly learn!

Solution 3:

Buy her a computer of own and when she completely screws it up tell her
to fix her own mess! You can buy a reasonably good second hand pc for
about $200 and with a KVM switch you can use the same monitor, mouse and
keyboard.

HELLO JOHN,thank you very much for your help and input.I have actually had
her on the limited user thingy but because she uses all the messenger
services and my space thats where all the trojans and all are coming from.I
think i will take your 3rd option and let her ruin her own computer then she
can get out and work if she wants another one after that.Teenagers are a pain
in the rear end at times.LOL
Thank you once again take care and have a lovely day.Cheers tillymeesha

You're welcome, tillymeesh. I think that is the way to go, for a few
hundred dollars you will be rid of the headaches! If you share the
internet connection make sure you use a router/firewall and fence her
out of your pc! If you decide to share the monitor and keyboard with
the use of a KVM switch ask for return privileges on the switch. Not
all switches are equal and some may not work as well depending on the
monitor or graphic adapter used, you may have "ghosting" on the screen
and you may have to try different switches before you find one that
gives you a good display.
