I need folders!

D

Don

Am I the only one frustrated with this looong list of contacts? When I want
to send an e mail- I have to scroll through all these names- grrrrr. Outlook
Express had folders, click click, and away they went. This is especially
frustrating when forwarding something. PLEASE bring through a patch that
allows us to group our contacts again- and use those folders when forwarding.
I have folders set up- but I can't use them for forwarding. Why not?

Frankly, I don't think Microsoft will come out with any further patches
for Windows Mail, now that Windows Live Mail (WLM) has been released.
You might as well get on the bandwagon and upgrade to WLM.
You can obtain WLM here: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

As a workaround for you, don't start a new email like you have been doing.
Instead, open Contacts, right-click on the group or folder, select Action,
Send E-mail.

Hi Gary
The problem is when forwarding a message or file. No folder option exists
(that I can find) for that scenario. It should be an easy fix for them!

The transfer of contacts from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail
is not automatic. Open Contacts in WLM, click File, Import, select
"Address book for current Windows user". Unfortunately, I don't think
it will import your contact folder structure. I am not a Contacts expert,
so if you have problems with contacts in WLM, ask for help in the
WLM newsgroup.

I should add that everything you had in Windows Mail is still there.
WLM hides the shortcut to Windows Mail, but it is easy to create a
new shortcut. I always have both email programs running simultaneously.
