I need a free ISP

G

geezer

I am having trouble creating a working dial-up phone connection.
Keeps telling me the login and/or password is bad for the domain.

I would like to create a second dial-up to a free ISP (I don't to pay
anything) to accept a login and password of my choice just to do a
connect. I just want to prove to myself that I am not doing
something wrong. Then I would be done with it.

I tried Netzero, but get same result.

Can someone give me a free isp address?

Thanks

1. Do a Google for "free isp" (w/o quotes).
a. Make sure that you read all the "FINE" print, before signing up.
b. Many will require banner ads and home page acceptence reqirements.
Which might include alot of spyware & other scumware.
c. You will need to sign-up for their services with a username and
password.
d. Some of these free services, will charge a fee, if you go beyond
their small "free" allowances", which will require you to provide Name and
Home address information.

2. For the following error message, "Keeps telling me the login and/or
password is bad for the domain."

a. They may have changed their policy about giving free isp service with
that "old" username/password.
b They are now requiring you to pay for their service.
c. You may have exceeded your free usage for the month, if there is a
limit, which services like Juno/Netzero uses for their free accts.
d. Check if there is a different Dial-up # for your area. They may no
longer be using that server, at that phone#.
