Dial-up in XP - Help

I have cable ISP and XP SP2. Works fine. I have a phone modem that I
use for backup should cable go down. It works fine for Netzero.

I have a friend having trouble using Eudora with his phone ISP. Since
that ISP has a phone # local to me, I thought I could help him by
logging in as him. I have done this before under W98.

I created his dial-up fine, but when I try to connect the connect is
rejected by the ISP (I guess) because it says the login and/or
password is NOT VALID ON THE DOMAIN. I don't know how to change or
set the domain to try to correct for this. Can someone help?

You are using an incorrect username and/or password. Ask your friend for
the correct one. Case matters, too.

It is unlikely that you will be able to help your friend by connecting
to his account on your computer, however. What he needs to do is set up
Eudora correctly. Here is a link to Eudora's help site:

Your friend should start there - on *his* computer.

All I know is - I have done this before for different friends to set
their machines up at my location so that when I return the machine to
them it is ready to go.

Makes me wonder what the problem is.
