I get pop-ups even when im not on the internet??

How Do I stop these pop-ups i get them when i'm not even
near my computer. I could leave it alone for 30 minutes
not doing anything, and when i came back there would be 50
pop-ups on my screen. Please someone help me stop them.

If you are running Kazaa or other file sharing program,

these will continually pop up. Exit Kazaa and uninstall
it. You can do a custom install and avoid some of these.
You may have spyware. Download a spyware detection program
like ad-aware or spybot from www.download.com and install
it. Use task manager to see what IE program are running in
the background.

Hi there,If you go to your control panel and click on Administrativ
tools then click on services, have a look for messenger right click o
messenger and then go to properties and you will see disable that
will stop the pop ups , ps this dos not stop msn messenge

I doubt that you get 50 from the messenger service. Download Ad-aware from
www.download.com Install, Update, then run it. also Check msconfig for
unknown or unwanted startup Items. Be carefull though sometimes proprietary
machines and certain hardware come with software drivers that load through
the run entries that show up in msconfig.
