I can't send emails

I just set this up yesterday and am trying to send my first email but it
won't send. Whenever I try to it says, "Please verify that your username and
password are correct." and then I type them below and press ok, and everytime
about two seconds later the same thing comes back up and everytime I type my
username and password it comes back up. so i went to tools - accounts- yahoo!
and checked there to make sure it was right and it was. (i did this multiple
times) so I do not know why it keeps saying that. what do i do?

that's the problem. i don't know what to do because it says to refer to the
'error' box and the box is blank.

Is yours a free Yahoo account? How did you access it before?
US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP
access. Windows Mail does not handle Yahoo webmail.
There are two possible solutions:

1. How did you access Yahoo mail before? If you are happy with
webmail via your browser, you can continue to use that.

2. Pay Yahoo to get their premium "Mail Plus" service:

and use the special settings for that service:
