HP photosmart doesn't print from Limited User accounts

Just bought a new hardware box with Windows XP home edition.
Tried to install HP photosmart 1115 print driver for all users.

1. Downloaded latest driver software from HP website.
2. Completely removed all software drivers for the printer.
3. Followed the driver install software instructions EXACTLY.
4. The software install driver correctly identified the physical
printer (USB interface, port labeled "DOT4_001") and
successfully installed the driver.

The ADMIN account prints fine, but the limited user accounts won't
print at all. I see the print job move to print queue, and then
is removed as though it were sent to the printer. Unfortunately,
the print job seems to be "tossed away" and no printing takes place
at all.

Any suggestions ?

This is a problem we have seen with XP Home and Limited Users... and usually
only when Norton Antivirus is installed on the PC.

Workaround:

Go into the Control Panel and click on Printers & Faxes. Right click on the
printer and select Properties.

In the Advanced tab, half way down the page, you'll see it set to Spool
Print documents....

Change it to Print Directly to Printer.

There's something in Norton Antivirus that stops the Limited Users using the
print spooler.... but since I don't and won't run ANY Symantec product on
any of my PCs, I have no idea exactly what it is.
