HP Pavilion laptop rebooting

Hi,

When I go to turn my laptop on it brings me to the boot up option:

Safe mode
Safe mode networking
Normal mode... etc..

I tried all of the choices and each time it loads half way through the
Window Loading screen, then reboots again. There's a blue screen right before
it reboots itself, but I can't read it because it turns off so fast.

I tried to reformat using the XP cd but it gave me this message "Please
insert one of Windows products into the drive." The CD was already in the
drive!!
So, that didn't work.

I also tried to repair it and it kept asking for an administrator password
that I don't have. That didn't work either.

Please help me find away to make my laptop to stop rebooting itself halfway
through the loading screen!

Thanks,
-Candace

Please post a complete copy of the Stop Error message.

Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should help by
allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Keep pressing the
F8 key during StartUp and select option - Disable automatic restart on
system failure.

Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure until you have
resolved the problem. Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

What type of Windows XP CD do you have? What is the make and model of
your computer?

Disconnect all computer peripherals except for keyboard, mouse, and
monitor. Does the computer boot?

Hope this helps.
