Hi,
While you are at or in safe Mode try to Restore the system to an earlier
Date before the error message appeared, to do that follow these steps:
Click Start >> All programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System
Restore, pick up a restore point say a week Old and reboot your machine, does
it help?. If it did please skip the Event Viewer report and perform the
cleaning steps and let us know your findings?.

If you still get error message then while in Safe mode try to get the error
log from the event Viewer by doing these steps:
Have a look in the Event Viewer and send us the error messages you will see
there in your next post:
Open a Notepad, customize or minimize to the taskbar as you will need it
later for this step to copy the error message on it.
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK] you will get the Event viewer control Panel.
click on each of these:
Application
System
Security
Look in the right Pane/window for error message with red (X) or Yellow
exclamation mark /!\ , double click each one to get more info about the
causer.
On the Event error properties message you will see:
Up Arrow
Down arrow
Two pages
Click on the two pages to copy the error message then bring up the Notepad
you opened earlier and right click on the first line and select Paste from
the list, this will paste the error message on a Notepad.
Please don't duplicate the error message one of each kind will be sufficient.
HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

Please we need just the error messages with Red (X) and don't repeat the
error, just one of each kind and post them back in your next post.

If you cannot get into safe mode, or any reset mode - do be aware if you
reset your pc to factory defaults you will probably lose all data, at this
point you should be seeking a *competent* repair shop, who will remove your
drive and copy all data to backup media

Okay, please make absolute sure to let us know your Windows version. Is it
XP Home. XP professional or Vista (Home basic, Pre, Bus..etc) in your next
post.
Did you install the All-in-One Printer which has a Kodak software bundled
with it?.
If you did this on a Vista and the software been Produced/Programmed to work
with Xp or older versions of Windows then you know by now it is a
compatibility issue.

If your laptop is shutting down and restarting, it's probably crashing. If
it shuts down and does not restart, that's more of an indication of hardware
failure. You need to boot, even into Safe Mode, go to Control Panel,
System, the Advanced tab, startup and shutdown, and remove the checkmark
from "automatically restart" on system failure. this won't fix anything,
but will prevent the restart and allow you to see error messages.

EasyShare is a Kodak product. Remove it, restart, clear out temporary
files, defragment, restart, and reinstall.

If you're concerned about your data, and it's a valid concern, it's prudent
and easy to back it up. You do need an inexpensive piece of hardware to do
this, in the form of a USB2 drive case or connector. These can be had for
under $20. You need to get the correct version, IDE or SATA, for the drive
type. From the model number it looks like it's an IDE drive. Shut the
laptop down, remove the drive, connect it to the case or adapter. Plug
that into another XP system and just copy your data off.

While you're doing that, delete the very large file in the root directory,
pagefile.sys. This file will be rebuilt as needed, and I have found that
removing it can sometimes help in this sort of context.
