How to uninstall an application

jw

I have an installed TURBOTAX that will not run after a restore from
backup. When I try to re-install, it says it cannot do it until the
prior installation is removed. It says to remove it using Control
Panel>Remove Programs. When I looked at that the application is not
listed. I then manually removed the application from c:\Program Files.
I still get the error. I painstakingly removed all references to the
application in the Registry, but I still get the error.

Can anyone suggest what I can do in order to re-install this thing?

Thanks

You should be trying the TT site. They have a forum and a pretty good
live chat, but you might have to wait some for a human.

A quick Google found this that may help: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-xp-support/1096990.htm

There are other results from Google that you can track down.

You need to contact the vendor's support or forums, and you may also need to
reboot and clear out temp folders.
