Full uninstall of defective TurboTax 2008 Program

Hi:

I somehow messed up and got rid of a critical component of TurboTax
2008. As a result it stopped running correctly. My solution was to
uninstall it and reinstall the original software. Unfortunatley the
uninstall that came with the program would not work, locking up half
way into the uninstall, and requiring a shut down and reboot. I tried
a number of other commercial uninstalles and they removed bits and
pieces of it, but have left some indication that TuboTax 2008 is still
installed. As a result, the original version refuses to install.

Can someone point me in he right direction for removing this tireseome
indicator so that the original application can be reinstalled. I have
removed all the traces that I can find in the registry, but still get
the message that its installed (which it isnt).

Help please

Did you try contacting TurboTax support?

You can do an on-line chat, e-mail them or have them call you back (website
says call-back withing 30 minutes at the moment)

I have found a solution, after digging through various web sites and
group support areas.

Thanks for responding...it was something that appears to be unique to
TruboTax..the idea of "flusing" the install vy using the command
setup.exe /f.

Thanks again.

Is the /f thing documented anywhere? TurboTax is becoming more bloated each
year and takes longer to startup plus trying to find items to go back to can
be a problem.
