How to startup without welcome screen

I would like to turn on my computer and go right to the desk top without a
welcome screen and clicking on my user name. I am the only one using my
computer so I don't need this kind of set up. Can someone explain how I can
get rid of the welcome screen. thanks

Start > run > type "control userpasswords2" without the quotes > hit enter >
on the first tab put a tick in the box saying not to use a username and
password, go ahead and click apply and follow the on-screen prompts. Then,
just for entertainment, do the same thing only "control userpasswords" and
on that screen click change the way users log on and untick the box to use a
welcome screen.
