How to reset preferences

My web pages are coming up as "Windows" a smaller screen
with the latest website I'm viewing in front of the
previous site that is still at full screen. Please could
you tell me where to change this preference.

I posted a couple of other questions up here a couple of
hours ago but they've not yet appeared, and I can't
remember what the other one was! I have just had the O/S
reinstalled so am trying to build my computer back up to
where it was after three years of setting my preferences.

One other question was how I can stop web pages printing
out with headers and footers, something I'd changed in the
past but don't remember how to do now. Thanks

With so many questions I would suggest the "Help" option in the Menu as
a starting point.

Thanks, that was my obvious starting point that generated
no results, hence the posting here.
