How To Delete URL History

M

Mort

Hi,

In Windows, at the upper right of the upper tool bar, clicking on the
down blue arrow reveals the history of sought URLs. How can I delete
that history? After I am finished with certain URLs, I wish to have them
deleted , and I cannot figure out how to do it.

Any help will be appreciated.

You want to delete all of them? If so then go to:

Tools >> Internet Options

In General Tab there should be a button to delete browsing history.
Click on it and everything will be deleted.

Good luck.

After you expand the list, at the far right of each site there is a red X
that will show up when you put the cursor there. It is right below the blue
arrow. Put the cursor there and press delete. The next one will move up in
the same position, Keep clicking Delete without needing to move the cursor.

You're not just asking about Windows, but about a web browser. It would
help to know which web browser you're asking about. There's a logo in
the very top line, left corner, and if the url is short enough (it
usually is), the name of the browswer appears at the right end of the
very top line.

Also, clicking on Help/About will give its name, and version number
even.

In the OPs post, the header in his post says:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/28.0 SeaMonkey/2.25

So, it appears he is using Firefox/28.0 and/or SeaMonkey/2.25. I know
Seamonkey has email (and newsgroup) capabilities. I'm not sure about
Firefox for email. I only use the old versions of FF. and I have been
using Thunderbird for email for years, adn like it, so I dont have any
need for other email software.

You can clean things, to your heart's content...

But there's another way to do this. "Private Browsing" setting.

And taking it to the next level, would be things like this.
Even if you don't actually use a thing like this, sometimes
it's good to see how they solved technical problems
with being tracked.
