How do I delete typed urls in my address history drop
down? I've tried every program I can find. I've found
the typed urls folder in the Registry, but it doesn't
list any. I'm stumped.

To get rid of all of your typed urls

Click on tools
Click on Internet Options
look down towards the bottom of the new window for the
section on History. Click on the clear history button.

This should clear all of your url history out.

In IE, Tools>Internet Options>General tab. Locate and click on "Clear
History" bar in lower-right. or check "C:\Documents and
Settings\<Username>\Local Settings\History"; items can also be deleted this
way.

In addition to the below good advice also close your browser when you are
done. Some of your history still stays listed on the "back" button at the
top left of the browser. The only way to get rid of that is to close the
browser.

Dont know why Uncle Bill thinks we need to have our tracks all over the
universe :)

Turn off auto complete tools\internet options\content tab-
auto complete button. Under tools\internet
options\advanced tab uncheck "show friendly URLS". Clean
up your system tools\internet options\general tab-delete
cookies-delete files-clear history buttons. Set days to
keep history to 0. For complete removal of this feature
go>start\run and type in regedit and navigate to the end
of this route by clicking the +'s.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\Explorer\RunMRU .Now right click on RunMRU and then click
permissions. You will have a list of your users and
accounts. Now highlight them by left clicking on them one
at a time and then set permissions to deny in all
instances and you will never be bothered by URL lists
again. I love it. Keep smiling.
