How to change desktop icons such as My Documents

Hello. I can't believe I forgot how to do this. Unlike most other icons on
the desktop, certain ones such as My Computer, Recycle Bin and My Documents
icons cannot be changed by Right clicking and going to Properties and
selecting Change Icon. There is a window you open which shows these items in
a row and you can click on them and customize the icon that way. I can't
remember how to do this and haven't been able to find a post of this nature
to help. Can someone please be so kind as to "remind" me how to perform this
action? Thank you!

No problem, we all get brain fade every now & then.
With the cursor not on any icon on your main desktop right click the mouse &
select Properties. In the Desktop tab select the Customize Desktop (usually
on the bottom) and in there you can change the icons.
