Shiny Beast:

2 x 75Gb Raptors in a RAID 0
2 x Hitachi 250Gb storage.

Total: 4

Andromeda:

All in caddies, swappable:

1 x 250Gb Samsung
2 x Maxtor 160Gb

And permanently fitted:

1 x Samsung 750Gb
1 x Samsung 320Gb
2 x Western Digital 120Gb

Total: 7

Perseus:

2 x Samsung 500Gb

In external caddies, usb/firewire connection:

1 x Samsung 1Tb (Perseus multimedia backup)
1 x Seagate 160Gb (IDE) (General backup)

Total: 15 disks

They're all SATA II with the exception of the 2 x 120Gb, which are SATA 1 and the external 160Gb which is PATA.

Well you asked :D

Hey MadX, take another look, that's only a pair of 75Gb HDD's which gives me a main drive of 150Gb, which is tiny, really.

Most space I have on a machine, when the 250Gb caddie is fitted, is 1.46Tb on the machine I choose to call 'Andromeda' so your 2Tb whups me ;)

I think the power of my Mac whups everybody...Now if only I had the brain power to use it to its full extent...Almost starting to think I waisted a shed load of money, when realisticly I could have made do with a decent purpose built rig....Ah well...:p

Macs are fine machines and look gorgeous.

However, you need a second mortgage to purchase one ;)

I may have made a typo and corrected it, btw, meaning you could have nipped in there quick and quoted me, but I don't think I did.

Oh well, no matter, 150Gb I have for main disk, titchy, titchy, but I load most games to one of the Hitachi's so it's no prob.

For Vista you need fast and 2 Raptors in RAID 0 is about as fast as a disk gets without going SCSI.
