formatting a mac hdd for a pc via usb

hey how do i for mat a mac hdd on a pc via usb i have it connected mt pc sees it but i can for mat i want to use it on a pc so just need to format to ntfs

Assuming you don't get the option to right click the disk then choose format:

In Win XP: Control panel/Administrative Tools/Computer management/Disk management. Right click and choose Format.

If neither of those two work you may have to connect the HDD to one of your PC's ports and connect a PSU connector to it to format it.

And if that doesn't work then you'll need some dedicated software for the the job, there's probably something to suit on The Ultimate Boot CD, a free download you can burn to disk and boot from.

Are Mac HDD's the same as PC HDD's? I have not a clue cos I know bugger-all about Macs :) I'd imagine they would be but who knows?
