How do you shut windows mail down?

When I shut windows mail down (by clicking the X at top right) instead of
shutting down normally I get a "Windows mail not working" message and when I
click "OK" message windows mail is started up again! Why won't it shut down
nice and obediently?!

It probably is not shutting down because your antivirus is interfering
with it. Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and Norton
security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, NOT just disabled.

As a test, uninstall your non-compatible antivirus, then try Windows
Mail again. If no improvement, you can always reinstall the antivirus.
