windows live mail shutting down

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Vista Home edition. It came with
Windows Mail. That worked fine for about 2 months (about 1 1/2 weeks ago).
First I couldn't send then couldn't receive/send email. When I searched for
help, Microsoft said to download Windows Live Mail. That worked great for
about a week. For the past 3 days, when I hit my mail button, WLM comes up,
downloads messages and stays on for about 1 minute. A screen pops up saying
WLM is shutting down. Then it shuts down. I can log right back on, but it
only stays on for a minute at a time. I can't figure out what is happening.

Sounds like interference from a third party security program.
If it was me I'd uninstall them one at a time until I found the culprit.

If you need more help, the WLM experts hang out in a different
newsgroup: microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
