Go to the Modem applet in Control Panel - there should be a diagnostics
tab or the like with a button where you can query the modem. That will
show you the init string for your particular modem. You'll need to look
around in the applet - I'm sorry I can't give you the exact place to
look but none of my computers has a modem installed.
