Hi,

(... And how do I disable the
deluxe functions on my keyboard ?)

Preferably delete the files,
responsible for these administrative
sabotage subroutines, from my
computer permanently!

I bought the simplest, most
basic keyboard I could find; but
Windows seems to be executing these
-dratted- executables, despite my
intentions!

Thanks,
Ken .

To disable sleep etc:
Start->Control Panel->Performance and Maintenance->Power Options

For the keyboard, try this:
Start->r-click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager
Expand the Keyboards item.
R-click the keyboard entry and select Uninstall.
Click OK.
Restart your computer.

The keyboard will be reinstalled, hopefully with the right features.

Hi,

Thank y'all, for what it's
worth, I did it again today.
Darnit.

Guess it's time I read the MS
newsgroup again.
Wish I was as smart as Red
Green, these things wouldn't keep
happening to me.

Ken .
