how do I stop Win Media player from starting up automatically?

I'm running XP Home and recently WinMedia player starts
up automatically when I turn my computer on. It is NOT
in my Startup menu. I have even tried to delete the
program but it tells me that it is running somewhere even
though it isn't.

Hi Jerry,

Other than checking your runkeys, check for the setting under the program
itself under Tools/Options.
