As far as I can tell, the Lexmark P6350 does not have a fax modem
(http://www.lexmark.com/lexmark/product/home/328/0,6970,204816596_653293778_578021704_en_0_6,00.html).
If you have a separate fax modem, you may be able to use the scanning
feature of the P6350 to create and send faxes.

If -- and it's a big if -- your fax modem is on the XP "approved" list
(http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx) it may (no guarantees)
work with WinXP fax services. You install WinXP Fax Services from the
Add/Remove Windows Components screen. You may need your original XP CD.
If you run into problems finding some of the install files, see

As to your fax number, you get that from the telephone company. You can
only use a fax modem to send and receive faxes over a regular telephone
line. You cannot use cable. You cannot use a DSL modem. And if you
have DSL, you must use filters to separate the DSL signals from the
telephone signals.

Think of it this way: if you disconnect the line to your fax modem and
connect it to a telephone, you must be able to make and receive calls
using the telephone. If the telephone doesn't work, the fax modem won't
work.
