How do I keep fax service on?

I'd like to always have the MS fax service (Fax Monitor) on and
waiting for faxes. However, it seems to go off after a while.
Meaning the "Answer next call as fax" box becomes unchecked. I'm not
sure what causes it. Any suggestions on how I can make it stay
checked?

Also, how do I get to the fax monitor (same window as above) that lets
me see the status and the answer as fax checkbox? I can only bring
it up if some one calls me or I send a fax. Otherwise, I don't see a
reference to it.

Thanks,
Brett

Don't use it myself, but...

If you go to "My Computer" and right click,
choosing "Manage" and then "Services and Applications"
subicon "Services" you'll find yourself looking at a list
of applications that can run automatically, manually - or
are disabled when Windows boots up. Your Fax service will
be there and you need to change the invocation parameter
from "Manual" to "Automatic" by right clicking it and
using the properties interface...

At least that'll ensure it starts with Windows, then you
will either find it's solved your problem entirely or that
there's a hidden setting in the MS Fax Service GUI itself,
but l'll leave you to look at it :-o

Post back if AOK or not...
