how do I export windows mail back to my client's server "Verizon"

I need to access my email on my client's server Verizon which is no longer
on the server. I have corrected the problem to have a copy of my email to
remain on the server at this point going forward, how ever I need all of the
previous email that is no longer on the server but in my Windows Mail. How do
I export Windows Mail back to my client's server Verizon?

It is not possible to do what you are trying to do. The experts will have
some alternatives.

Windows Mail stores each message as separate files so you can copy the
messages to a flash drive or zip them up and send them to your computer, but
you cannot put them back into the Verizon server.

Hi Sam, thanks for your response however, there must be some kind of way,
look at the question and response to another person named Wendy in this forum
regarding the same thing but to AOL as oppose to Verizon. However, I cannot
follow the instructions because it is for AOL. I copied and pasted it here
for your convenience below:

Just set up that same account again in Windows Mail, but this time make
it an IMAP account. See
http://postmaster.aol.com/imap/express.html

Then move the messages from the AOL POP inbox folder to the AOL IMAP
inbox folder within Windows Mail.
After a while the IMAP account will sync with the AOL server, and all your
emails will be available on AOL webmail.

I added my aol email account to windows mail (big mistake!) and now I can't
see my current emails in aol. Can I get those emails that are in windows mail
back to my aol inbox, or am I screwed?!? I really don't want to use windows
mail...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well Gary will probably be along soon to clarify things but I sure expect
him to also say it is not possible.

As for his previous answer, note that it uses IMAP. As far as I know,
Verizon does not support IMAP. They are two different ways of sending and
receiving email and work very differently, with special emphasis on
different. You are certainly correct that the answer seems to indicate that
what you want to do is possible, so I hope Gary clarifies things.

Thanks Gary. By the way, if I am able to change my client email from POP3 to
IMAP, would I be able to export my windows mail back to Verizon? I was
researching and this is what I found, but I haven't tried it yet, because I
cannot find the cd that Verizon gave me. And if so, how would I do it? See
http://www.ehow.com/how_2175824_set-up-verizon-imap-account.html

I am just trying to find a better way, I have over 5,000 emails (that I did
not get a chance to archive yet) and I need to be able to access them on any
pc, due to traveling. Thanks for your help.

In an earlier reply to you, Gary said "Can't be done. Verizon doesn't offer
IMAP accounts (like AOL).".

You can't fix that at your end. It would work if Verizon offered IMAP but it
does not. You can't change your "client email from POP3 to IMAP"; it must be
done by the server at the other end.

Gary said it can't be done. If there was a trick as you are asking for, he
would have said so.
