How do I disable file sharing?

I think that's the right term, anyway.

I just got connected to cable modem and one of Tech TV's
hints was to disable file sharing when doing so. Quoting
from their Web site:.... "Here are five things you should
do once your broadband connection is enabled. Do these
things first, and you'll enhance your experience.

1. Turn off File Sharing
Microsoft leaves this on by default, but you don't need to
have it on. Turning it off will protect you from hackers.

To turn it off:
1. Right click on Network Neighborhood, and select
Properties.
2. Click on the Configuration tab.
3. Click on the File and Print Sharing button.
4. Uncheck both checkboxes."

I guess my question is: Does anyone know where I will find
Network Neighborhood on Windows XP Home?

Thank you,

The #1 most important thing you can do is to put up a firewall.

Turning off file and printer sharing, if you don't have a network, is icing
on the cake - even if someone gets through your network, there won't be
anybody listening to their requests, so it's a great backup. (You can never
be too secure - enable what you need, and leave the rest turned off.)

Go to the control panel, and select Network and Internet Connections. Then,
select Network Connections. Right click on the connection for your cable
modem and select properties. You can then select File and Printer Sharing
and uninstall it.
