problems with file sharing

running vista business,
Vista will not let me disable password protected file sharing. Clicking the
button to turn off password protected file and printer sharing does nothing.
It never turns off. Network is set to private. Network sharing and
discovery are both on.

Any ideas???

How did you attempt to do this?

Did you click Start > Network > Network and Sharing Center > under Sharing
and Discovery expand File Sharing > select the "Turn off file sharing" radio
box > click Apply > click Continue on the UAC dialog.

that is exactly how i tried. clicking accept actually changes nothing.
radio button remains on and green

Are you logged into the system with an administrator account?
