How do I change the normal.dot New Document to my formats, etc?

Every time I have to reinstall Windows, I spend days--literally days, trying
to reset the blank document from the factory default normal.doc to the one I
use with my margins, my fonts, my toolbars without having to redo all my
toolbars, margins, etc. each and every time. If someone could please explain
to me in layman's terms how to go about this -- I would greatly appreciate
any help anyone can provide to.

I'm curious why you have to reinstall Windows so often. I have a 7 year old
computer that was reformatted one time - when I upgraded from Win 98SE to XP
Pro. Although it's not my primary system these days, it does still work and
is used almost daily.

Is there some reason you haven't just saved a copy of Normal.dot to copy
back to the reinstalled program? See
