Am trying to reinstall/repair XP Home on my computer via the CD..
The process started, got to 35mins left and a blue scren with the following
mesage appeared
" a problem has ben detctected and windows has been shut down"
PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED
TECH INFO : STOP: 0x0000006B (0xC000003F,0x00000002,0x0x00000000,0x00000000)
Subsequent reboots restart the installation where it left off, the same
problem occuring, the loop continuing..Have tried rebooting with XP boot
floppys but get taken to the installation restart, SAFE MODE, " SAFE
CONTINUE WITH INSTALLATION, SYSTEM REBOOTING".......
,............cant get out of this loop..
I DONT have ROXIO GO BACK associated with NORTONS installed
I suspect I may have been hit with a trojan to get me into this mess as a
virus scan had found and hopefully eliminated before the install.,,,
I dont mind rebuilding but would love to SAVE some FILES and SETTINGS if I
can get to that point first......
Can anybody HELP?
ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED but try and keep it simple please
