How can I get to have video chatting on computer.

Hi

I have Windows XP and MSIE 6 running on a P, I only have dial-up
internet connection.. I am not too clued-up with regards to web cams
but I have recently seen someone using a computer in an hotel and they
seemed to be "chatting" to another person whose moving image could
be seen on the computer screen. Can anyone tell me what software and or
service they were using for this and how can I get my computer to do
this. I also have a digital camera that is about 3 years old and I
think it can be used for a web cam too (it is v.small and has no
screen).

On a dial-up connection, the video is going to be pretty jerky vs. a
broadband connection, however.
