How can I get my mike working

Some one help I cant seem to get any way for my computer to detect my voice
in the sounds, speech and audio devices. Ok number 1 I have already set up my
mike to be heard in the realtek HD Front pink Jack and even done the test but
I still get the same answer, VOICE NOT DETECTED. SO PLEASE SOMEONE COME BACK
WITH AN ANSWER PLEASE.
 
Try going to run,type:DXDIAG You'll find a test for the microphone.Also,have
you R.clicked the speaker by the clock,selected,open volume
control,properties,
then chk the box "playback",chk the box for mic,adjust the input level....
