How can I cancel a deleted meeting?

I scheduled a meeting and then deleted it from my calendar without sending a
cancellation notice. So the attendees still have it on their calendars.

How can I, or someone else, send a cancellation to the attendees.

I am looking for a way to actually cancel the meeting, just like it was
cancelled it using Outlook. not just sending them an e-mail telling them the
meeting is cancelled.
 
I am in the same pickle, but I deleted the meeting quite awhile ago and have
since emptied the deleted items folder. The new project manager wanted to
add an attendee to the list, but can't because I am th eorganizer. i can't
because I deleted the meeting and emptied the deleted items folder. Anything
short of having each current attendee delte items iindividually?
