Hide button near Windows XP clock

Once I got rid of the virus "Joke 150Alerts", which was
disabling Task Manager, amoung other files, the Hide
button near Windows XP's clock is now not working. I
used House Call to find the virus & manually deleted it
from the Temporary Internet Files folder, and used House
Call again to verify that there were no more viruses.
But the "hide icons" button is not working, even after I
disable & re-enable it. Can anyone help me out. This
computer is clean from viruses as of the check last night.

I had to reboot after deleting the file (did it the next
day) to restore Task Manager to normal.

Problem fixed itself about 10 hours or so after it
started. Thanks for checking though.
