Hidden fax window

Om Windows XP I do not have a fax, but a hidden fax window shows up once in
awhile. When that happens the computer freezes up. Thought I could install
and then uninstall to get rid of fax. Antivirus blocked it because of trojan
horse. Cannot remove from add/remove programs. How can I delete to get rid
of of fax components on the computer. Or better ideas?

"Once in a while?" Rather hard to do anything with that. Provide the precise
steps to repro your problem. Too much guesswork here.
