What way is hibernate supposed to work. I had assumed that the system would
measure the amount of time from when it detected the last movement of the
mouse or when some process that was running had finished. This doesn't
appear to be the case since I have had it start to hibernate when it's been
things like erasing a R/W DVD etc. or rendering a video. Is this the way
things are supposed to work?

I personally disable "Hibernate" feature (Desktop Properties; Screen Saver
tab; Power; Hibernate tab; uncheck box, apply & OK)...Just my personal
preference...Bill
