Hibernate Problem

Hi guys,

Have just got broadband and a usb modem. When connected my pc will not
hibernate after a specified period of time. If I log out of broadband it
will hibernate ok. I can also hibernate manually. Basically I want to have
my broadband connection active all the time but I also want my computer to
automatically hibernate after an hour if I go out etc. Anyone know a
workaround? Am using Windows XP with all updates etc.

Try changing the time when it hibernates to a different
one like 45 minutes and see if it works that way.
Otherwise just hibernate by clicking Turn Off Computer
and pressing h on the keyboard when you're done using the
computer. It's really not that hard!

Such connections usually get dropped by the ISP when there is no longer
a powered on active modem; and it is inherent in hibernation that it
gets powered off.
