Hibernate problem (Manual Hibernate works fine)

One of the major reasons I updated my computer & moved to
XP was because I wanted the Hibernate facility.

While this works fine if I manually hibernate, the system
refuses to hibernate by itself after the specified period
of inactivity.

I do not get any error messages or symptoms, nothing in
the event log, it just doesn't happen. I upgraded to SP2,
but that didn't help.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for this suggestion. Unfortunatley it didn't help. I disabled my
screen saver and had previously tried setting the hibernate period to 1
minute, but still no hibernate. It did however give me food for thought
regarding what else might be preventing a long enough "inactivity" period.
Guess I'll have to try disabling things one after the other.
