MY daughter did something to my computer. Everytime I
open explorer i get a red banner at the bottom of my
screen that will not go away unless I resart my compter.
The banner is some sort of search tool. It also apears in
my exploer as a tool bar. How to i get rid of this SH

Blaine, It is possible you have an insidious virus-like pest called
CoolWebSearch. Go to this web site,
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_download.asp?fid=23551&fileidx=1, and
download and install the FREE CWShredder v1.59.1 and see if that doesn't make
your problem go away. This small (128KB) software removes dozens of CWS
variants.
